Dinner out on the town

This afternoon we spent relaxing at the beach... It was beautiful! Sunny skies, light breeze, and good company.


Tonight we went out to eat. We had fried fish, fried chicken, plantains, rice, and salad. And as always, some delicious fruit juices!


Afterwards we took a walk on the beach and are now headed back. Everyone seems ready for a good night's sleep before our last full day!

This afternoon was a calm, relaxing one. We simply spent our time with the kids playing. And yes, the kids loved the bikes!! It was a lovely way to spend our final evening with the kids. Tonight we will do our final group reflection and pack up for our travel day tomorrow. I am sure there will be tears when we have to say goodbye :-( As always, thank you for all the love and support. And just like that, we are off! We said our final goodbyes this morning after a glorious farewell breakfast. We will keep you posted on our journey home, but for now, we are on our way to Santiago and then to New York. See you all soon!

An afternoon of weeding, painting, and playing

After our post fried chicken nap, we got back to work! Some groups helped paint, while others did dishes or continued weeding. And of course, more fun time with the kids! Since tonight is New Year's Eve, we are planning to stay up and ring in the new year with games and lots of snacks! Since we are an hour ahead, we will get to 2019 before you! Happy New Year!
